This film series is about a dystopian futuristic vision of Chicago where citizens are separated by their social and personality-related affiliation into five factions. It follows Beatrice "Tris" Prior as she searches for her identity.

The Godfather Trilogy

Mario Puzo adapted his own books to write the screenplays for this Academy Award winning film series. An almost Shakespearean look at the rise and fall of a powerful Italian mob family.

The Hunger Games

Based around a hugely successful serious of teen, post-apocalyptic books. A girl, Katniss Everdeen, inadvertently becomes the leader of a rebellion after volunteering to replace her younger sister in annual The Hunger Games.

The Huntsman

This dark fantasy series is an interesting adaptation of the Snow White and the Seven Dwarves fairy tale. There's no singing or cheerful whistling here.

The Maze Runner

Based on a series of popular young adult books about teenagers trapped in a treacherous maze in a dysoptian future.

The Purge

A horror series based around the somewhat disturbing premise that in the future all violence will be abolished. Accept for one messed up night of the year where it's legal to commit murder.

Based on a the Japanese horror franchise "Ringu", The Ring is one of the few horror series's in recent years that are legitimately scary, not to mention creepy.
