Guy Ritchie‘s take on the tale of King Arthur is looking to be done in his unique, slow-motion-mixed-with-kinetic-action style of directing.
And the first trailer for it just came out at Comic-Con 2016:
It opens with a Go-Pro style camera shot of characters running through the streets before two jump off a ledge into some water for below.
Then what kind of looks like a secret meeting between Charlie Hunnam‘s Arthur and Michael McElhatton (Game Of Thrones woot) where he’s talking about a nightmare and there’s flashes of images of a giant elephant, a large snake and a lady with creepy eyes.
More explosive action with a buff Hunnam training in some hand-to-hand. Then he pulls a sword (Excalibur I assume) from a stone. There’s several “Lord of the Rings” type shots of an epic battle. Near the end we see Hunnam telling a crew of Knights he doesn’t want a fight, and then of course a fight breaks out.
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword slashes into theaters on March 24, 2017.
