First “Wonder Woman” Trailer Drops at Comic-Con 2016

The first BIG trailer from Comic-Con 2016 is here and it’s a doozy from Warner Bros… 2017’s Wonder Woman with our first good look at Gal Gadot in the title role.

The first trailer for Wonder Woman opens with her on a beach with Chris Pine before we get to see her be a real badass using her shield in a war.

Here’s a rundown of the different scenes in the first official Wonder Woman trailer from Comic-Con 2016:

The trailer opens on a beach with Wonder Woman aka Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) kneeling next to Chris Pine (Chris Pine) who looks like he just washed ashore. She asks him if he’s a man to which he replies “Don’t I look like one?”

Then we get a few shots of Diana’s homeworld and her mother. We see her with Chris Pine again on what looks like a wharf. Diana’s dressed nicely at a party and looks across the room to a man (Danny Huston) who’s dressed in a military uniform. And he’s likely an antagonist as we then see Diana / Wonder Woman reach for a sword behind her back… right before the Warner Bros. and DC logos come on screen.

Next we get a glimpse of a woman with a creepy mask on her face looking very fiercely at someone or thing. Diana and Chris Pine’s character are in a boat and he asks about her father to which she says she was “brought to life by Zeus.” To that he says “Well that’s neat.”

Then we’re treated to lots of actions shots of a battle on a beach, Wonder Woman on horseback, a fighter plane and lots more quick shots before the title screen comes up.

Finally, there’s a short post title scene with Diana meeting Chris Pine’s secretary and she doesn’t know what that is. When she asks about it she says that’s called slavery in her world. And so ends that exciting trailer!

Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2, 2017.
